Farm Events Calendar

We love to share our family farm with the public! We are an agritourism farm in Southern Illinois offering Farm Events in The Shawnee National Forest to connect people with the land and animals. Our story is unique, we are first generation farmers building a dream one seed and fence post at a time. We love to showcase what farming means to us so we schedule dates to open our doors to the public. Whether you are a local to Southern Illinois or a tourist visiting the area for some outdoor fun, we’ve got something for you!

Our farm open to the public on select summer and fall weekends and on specific dates when we organize vendor events, ticketed special events like painting classes, goat yoga, educational agriculture classes, and more! With advance scheduling we are also able to host private events and tours! Be sure to get added to our newsletter so you’ll get the latest additions to the farm calendar.   Goat Yoga in Southern Illinois!
  The Ryder Family Farm welcomes yogis and animal lovers to their pastures for a Goat Yoga experience. Goat Yoga brings yogis and animal lovers in contact with goats for uplifting the spirit and relaxing the mind and body.   Total Solar Eclipse Farm Dinner – April 8, 2024
  Our farm is located in Historic Golconda, Illinois and we are delighted to offer a 4 course “Farm Dinner” dining experience during the Total Solar Eclipse of 2024 where you’ll gather in our farm fields, enjoy appetizers, beverages, view the eclipse, take in the farm ambiance and then sit down for an unforgettable experience.
